Job summary

TE Connectivity in Galway, Ireland, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer II to support manufacturing and develop new process technologies. The role emphasizes reducing variability, optimizing yield and throughput, and leading line improvements across multiple projects.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Lean manufacturing principles and statistics knowledge.
  • Experience with Minitab is advantageous.
  • SolidWorks/AutoCAD skills would be an advantage.
  • Catheter assembly experience including laser processing is a definite advantage.
  • Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple tasks and projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage workload to meet/exceed KPIs (yield, throughput, productivity).
  • Provide line support for technical issues in manufacturing.
  • Identify and implement permanent technical and system solutions.
  • Improve processes by studying requirements and testing methods.
  • Maintain OEE using Lean tools and techniques.
  • Investigate new process technologies and cost benefits.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on trends and performance.
  • Implement equipment maintenance procedures for critical equipment.
  • Resolve quality/technical issues to minimize supply impact.
  • Maintain compliance with Medical Devices requirements (ISO/FDA).
  • Collaborate with production support to drive improvements.
  • Update procedures through Change Plan processes.
  • Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are fulfilled.
