Job description

Build Your Engineering Career Around the World.

Manufacturing Project Engineer

Imagine building manufacturing facilities across Europe, North America, Asia and beyond - not from behind a desk, but by delivering projects that bring new production lines and advanced equipment to life.

We're partnering with a global manufacturing business seeking ambitious engineers to join its international engineering team. Whether you're a recent graduate or an experienced Project Engineer, this is an opportunity to accelerate your career while working on major capital projects across a worldwide manufacturing network.

With approximately 30 weeks of international travel each year, you'll gain hands-on experience delivering projects from concept through commissioning while working alongside engineering teams across multiple countries.

What You'll Achieve

You'll play a key role in delivering engineering projects that improve manufacturing performance across global production facilities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver engineering projects from concept through to completion.
  • Support the planning and execution of capital (CapEx) projects.
  • Install, commission and validate new manufacturing equipment and production lines.
  • Travel internationally to support project implementation across global manufacturing sites.
  • Produce engineering designs and technical documentation.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs and mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
  • Identify equipment improvements and implement long-term engineering solutions.
  • Support maintenance, upgrades and lifecycle management of manufacturing equipment.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
  • Monitor project budgets and CapEx expenditure.
  • Prepare project reports and engineering documentation.
  • Collaborate with international engineering teams.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, environmental and health & safety standards.

Your Edge

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Graduate engineers should have internship, placement or hands-on engineering experience.
  • Experience within manufacturing, industrial or project engineering environments.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and technical schematics.
  • Experience using CAD software.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working within manufacturing environments.
  • Willingness to travel internationally throughout the year.

Experience with commissioning, equipment installation, manufacturing projects or CapEx delivery would be advantageous but is not essential.

Why This Role Matters

This is far more than a traditional Project Engineering role.

You'll gain international experience across multiple manufacturing facilities, delivering engineering projects from design through commissioning while working with experienced engineering teams around the world.

For engineers looking to fast-track their career, few opportunities provide this level of technical exposure, global travel and project ownership.
