Job summary

Power Global Manufacturing Projects is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer (Global Projects) to lead electrical design, installation, commissioning and optimisation of production equipment and automated lines across international sites.

You will join a global team delivering large-scale projects with approximately 30 weeks of travel per year to sites in Europe, North America, Asia and occasionally Australia.

Electrical Project Engineer (Global Projects)

Imagine working on major engineering projects across the world, taking responsibility for the electrical design, installation, commissioning and optimisation of production equipment and automated manufacturing lines.

This is an opportunity to join a global engineering team responsible for delivering large-scale engineering projects across international manufacturing sites. You'll play a key role in supporting electrical installations, factory expansions, equipment upgrades and automation projects while collaborating with engineering teams across multiple facilities worldwide.

Unlike a traditional site-based engineering role, this position offers extensive international exposure, with approximately 30 weeks of travel per year to manufacturing sites across Europe, North America, Asia and occasionally Australia.

This role is ideal for an Electrical Engineer or Electrical Project Engineer looking to develop their project management skills, gain international experience and build a long-term career within a global manufacturing environment.

What You\'ll Achieve (and Why It Matters)

• Deliver electrical engineering projects from concept through commissioning.
• Support the planning and execution of major CapEx projects.

• Work alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout project delivery.
• Support electrical fault finding, maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare project documentation and commissioning reports.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Systems.
• Degree or qualification in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
• Experience within manufacturing, industrial or automation environments.
• Experience with electrical installations, commissioning or project engineering.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation.
• Experience with industrial electrical systems.
• Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Comfortable working in hands-on manufacturing environments.
• Willingness to travel internationally for approximately 30 weeks per year.
