Job summary

Abbott Ireland in Longford is seeking a Process Engineering Technician to support the diagnostics manufacturing site. You will operate and maintain critical plant, utilities and equipment to ensure reliable production.

The role requires a relevant Engineering or science qualification and at least 3 years in a similar environment; knowledge of regulated manufacturing and strong safety practices is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.
• Experience in a regulated environment is advantageous.
• Relevant third-level qualification in Engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline or a recognised trade qualification.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain critical plant, utilities and equipment.
• Oversee daily maintenance and coordinate external contractors.
• Troubleshoot and fault-find equipment to ensure operations.
• Learn cleanroom HVAC systems and utilities to diagnose issues.
• Uphold safety and compliant working practices.
• Liaise with internal and external engineering personnel and contractors.
