Job summary

Abbott in Ireland is seeking a Process Engineer to support manufacturing operations at the Fermoy TPM site. The role focuses on administering and continuously improving production equipment maintenance systems, monitoring performance, and ensuring quality and regulatory standards are met.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, engineering and quality teams to drive safe, efficient processes, support non-conformance investigations, and deliver improvements that enhance uptime and product

Qualifications

• Third-level qualification or trade certification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Science, or related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional manufacturing environments.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Preferred: 3+ years’ experience in engineering or manufacturing.
• Experience in regulated industries such as medical devices or pharmaceuticals.

Responsibilities

• Manage on-site day-to-day demand and preventative maintenance system for production equipment.
• Monitor manufacturing performance and support the identification and implementation of process improvements.
• Support Non-Conformance Assessments within Operations, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and compliant products.
• Support equipment reliability, uptime, and production efficiency initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to 6S standards and promote a clean, safe, and organized working environment.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable corporate, divisional, quality, and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects that enhance operational performance, product quality, and manufacturing effectiveness.
• Support investigations, root cause analysis, and process troubleshooting activities as required.
