Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Apprentice to join the Engineering team at AbbVie Ballytivnan in Ireland. This NFQ Level 7 three-year program offers hands-on training in production processes and quality systems within a highly regulated manufacturer.

You will develop core skills in process control, design for manufacture, and project-based problem solving while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in a demanding GMP environment.

Qualifications

• Proven knowledge of statistical process control and quality management within GMP environments.
• Familiarity with design for manufacture and mechanical design concepts.
• Understanding of root cause analysis and Kaizen for process improvement.
• Awareness of lean manufacturing and metrology basics.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate efficient operations within the production area and optimise processes.
• Monitor equipment performance, identify issues causing non-conforming products or low yields.
• Support implementation of new processes and drive continuous improvement in quality and manufacturing.
• Assist with project management and documentation in a regulated environment.
