Job summary

Matrix Recruitment Group is seeking a Manufacturing Automation Engineer to lead improvements in manufacturing operations and drive automation upgrades across the site. The role reports into the Engineering Manager and focuses on FPY, KPI delivery and Lean initiatives.

The ideal candidate will bring automation design, PLC programming and strong data analysis skills, with experience in ERP systems and CAD tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Automation, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Strong CAD skills with Windchill; 3D modelling and drawings interpretation.
Automation design, PLC programming and testing procedures knowledge.

Responsibilities

Support and improve daily manufacturing operations, delivering projects and process improvements to improve FPY.
Lead process and equipment development for new product introduction and improvements, including automation upgrades.
Drive Lean and Operational Excellence initiatives such as SMED, changeovers, and standard work.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs and process measurement tools.
Support ERP and manufacturing systems, maintaining data, routings, and Times & Methods.
Analyze production and KPI data to prepare management reports.
Ensure compliance with Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental, GMP and site systems.
