Reporting to the VP & Team Lead, Controllers, the Controller Manager will take ownership of finance matters for assigned Irish platform entities and will work closely with internal teams, external service providers, auditors and commercial deal teams.
This is a varied role combining technical accounting, reporting, transaction support, and stakeholder management. You will have the opportunity to work across the full finance cycle while gaining exposure to aircraft leasing transactions, senior management reporting, and a growing international business.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a key finance contact for assigned Irish platform entities, working with internal stakeholders and external service providers.
- Manage monthly and quarterly reporting requirements in line with company and parent-company deadlines.
- Review and analyse financial information, including internal reporting packs and business performance analysis.
- Support commercial transactions and represent the Controllers function on deal teams involving Irish-based aircraft.
- Prepare audit packs and support the external audit process.
- Manage relationships with auditors, external service providers and internal teams across Finance, Tax, Legal, Treasury, and Commercial.
- Respond to finance queries and information requests from across the business.
- Contribute to the improvement of finance processes, controls, and reporting quality.
- Assist with technical accounting analysis on new policies, structures or transactions where required.
- Support ad hoc finance projects as directed by the Team Lead and CFO.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a qualified accountant who is technically strong, commercially curious, and comfortable taking ownership of deadlines and deliverables.
- A recognised accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA.
- Post-qualification experience in aircraft leasing, aviation finance, financial services, structured finance, SPV accounting or Big 4 audit.
- Strong financial reporting, audit and technical accounting experience.
- Confidence working with multiple entities, deadlines and stakeholders.
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills, with the ability to work effectively with finance systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Clear communication skills and confidence dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
- A proactive, practical mindset — someone who is happy to take ownership, solve problems and improve ways of working.
- Aircraft leasing experience would be highly advantageous, but candidates from adjacent backgrounds who can demonstrate strong technical accounting, audit, SPV, structured finance or financial services reporting experience will also be considered.
Why Join CDB Aviation?
- A broad in-house finance role with genuine ownership, not a narrow reporting-only position.
- Exposure to an international aircraft leasing platform and senior stakeholders.
- Opportunity to work with commercial deal teams and support transaction-related finance matters.
- Permanent role with a discretionary bonus and a clear Monday-to-Thursday office pattern.
- A chance to develop within a global business with strong backing and continued international growth.
