Job summary

Uniphar Group is seeking a Management Accountant on a fixed term 12-month contract to support dual ERP system migrations and deliver accurate monthly management accounts and forecasts.

You will provide robust financial analysis, ensure IFRS compliance, and partner with cross-functional teams to enable informed operational decisions within the Global Sourcing division.

The role offers hybrid working with Ireland-based offices and remote options, and requires ACCA/ACA/CPA or finalist status.

Qualifications

  • Qualified or finalist in an accounting qualification (ACCA/AC A/CPA).
  • Experience across dual reporting environments and ERP systems.
  • Proven ability to reconcile data and resolve discrepancies.

Responsibilities

  • Support dual ERP system reporting during legacy and new migrations.
  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts, forecasts and variance analysis.
  • Perform reconciliations across multiple systems to ensure data integrity.
  • Investigate discrepancies and liaison with finance, project & IT teams.
  • Assist with month-end close and ensure group reporting deadlines are met.
  • Provide financial insight to support operational decision-making.
  • Ensure IFRS compliance and strengthen internal controls.

Job description

Management Accountant - 10 month FTC

The management accountant, reporting to the Finance Manager within the Global Sourcing division of Uniphar Pharma, will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of a key project. This will include the provision of dedicated financial support, collaborating on robust financial analysis, ultimately ensuring the delivery of accurate financial reporting. This is a fixed term 12 month contract role.

Key Outcomes
  • Support the finance & project team in managing financial reporting during dual running of legacy and new ERP systems
  • Support the preparation and review of accurate monthly management accounts, forecasts, and variance analysis for the business unit
  • Perform reconciliations across multiple systems to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of financial data
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between financial reports, liaising with finance, project & IT teams as necessary
  • Support the validation of financial data during system migration
  • Partner with cross-functional project teams to provide financial insight and support operational decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS) and internal controls.
  • Support the review and assessment of controls and working with project teams to implement or enhance internal controls
  • Drive process improvements in financial reporting and project monitoring.
  • Assist with month-end close activities, ensuring compliance with group reporting deadlines and accuracy in reporting and variance analysis
  • Liaise with Group & Intercompany finance teams as necessary.
  • Participate in regular team and group meetings.
Key Skills & Experiences
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent) – fully qualified or finalist preferred.
  • Systems orientation- Ability to work across multiple financial systems simultaneously and maintain data integrity. Knowledge and experience across ERP systems (SAP an advantage)
  • Analytical Skills- Strong capability to identify discrepancies, reconcile data, and ensure accuracy across dual reporting environments
  • Attention to detail- Maintains high standards of accuracy when working with large volumes of data across systems
  • Experience working with multi-functional disciplines including non-financial managers.
  • Strong ability to apply critical thinking to resolve problems & proactive in investigating variances and implementing effective reconciliation solutions
  • Proven time management and prioritization skills focusing on urgent and overlapping deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively under time and delivery pressures
  • High level of proficiency in excel
  • Show resilience, be flexible and adaptable.
  • Professional level written and oral communication.
