Harper Finley Professional Recruitment seeks a fully qualified Management Accountant for a hospitality client in Galway. This hands-on role reports to the General Manager, delivering accurate financial information and business insight to drive performance.

Ideally you have hospitality experience, strong monthly accounts and reconciliations skills, and a proactive mindset to optimise finance processes and controls within a busy operational environment.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
• Hospitality experience is advantageous.
• Experience preparing monthly management accounts.
• Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Organised, detail-focused and able to meet tight deadlines.
• Experience with accounting/purchasing systems, budgeting, forecasting and revenue compliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Provide financial analysis and commercial insight to support decision-making.
• Support annual budgets, forecasting and weekly cashflow management.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and creditor reconciliations.
• Monitor costs, financial performance and profitability.
• Maintain strong financial controls and improve finance processes.
• Complete Revenue returns and statutory reporting.
• Support the annual external audit.
• Collaborate with General Managers and operational teams on financial matters.
• Assist with finance projects and handle ad hoc financial queries.

Management Accountant

Location: Galway

Work Type: Permanent / Full Time

Salary: €45,000 - €65,000

We're looking for a fully Qualified Accountant to join an established and growing hospitality business in Galway. This is a hands‑on commercial finance role where you'll work closely with the General Manager and operational teams, providing accurate financial information and insight to support the performance of the business.

Hospitality experience would be a key advantage.

Responsibilities

• Preparing monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
• Providing financial analysis and commercial insight to support decision-making
• Supporting annual budgets, forecasting and weekly cashflow management
• Overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable and creditor reconciliations
• Monitoring costs, financial performance and profitability
• Maintaining strong financial controls and improving finance processes
• Completing Revenue returns and statutory reporting
• Supporting the annual external audit
• Working closely with General Managers and operational managers on financial matters
• Supporting finance projects and dealing with ad hoc financial queries

Requirements

• Is a fully Qualified Accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
• Ideally has previous hospitality experience
• Has experience preparing monthly management accounts
• Has strong experience with balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting
• Is organised, detail-focused and comfortable working to tight deadlines
• Experience with accounting/purchasing systems, budgeting, forecasting and Revenue compliance would be an advantage
