Job summary

Vertiv Ireland is seeking a proactive Maintenance Technician or Engineer to join our Letterkenny manufacturing site. You will work on planned preventive maintenance, diagnose faults, and support TPM and 5S initiatives while keeping equipment reliable and production running smoothly.

The role requires 3+ years in manufacturing maintenance, NFQ Level 5 in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering, and hands-on problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment.
• NFQ Level 5 in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible, proactive, and solution-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Develop and carry out Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules.
• Diagnose, repair and maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify and eliminate recurring issues.
• Support continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, service logs, and calibration documentation.
• Liaise with OEMs and specialist contractors when required.
• Support TPM and 5S initiatives.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns and support production teams to minimise downtime.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and statutory regulations.
