Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is sourcing a Maintenance Technician for a well‑established manufacturing site in Ireland. The role focuses on fault-finding and repairs across mechanical, electrical, utility and production equipment.

You will perform planned maintenance to maximise uptime, ensure GMP and Health & Safety compliance, and collaborate with operations and contractors on installations and improvements.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and/or hydraulic equipment.
  • Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and automated production lines in regulated environments is advantageous.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and participate in an on-call rota.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out fault-finding, troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical, electrical, utility and production equipment.
  • Complete planned and preventative maintenance to maximise uptime and reliability.
  • Ensure all work complies with GMP, Health & Safety and site procedures, including permits, LOTO and PPE.
  • Work with Operations, Maintenance and external contractors to resolve equipment issues and support new equipment installations.
  • Support continuous improvement by tracking equipment performance and reducing changeover times.
