Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a manufacturing facility in Ireland, Dublin area. You will ensure the effective operation, maintenance, and reliability of equipment, including inspections, calibration, preventative maintenance, and coordinating external repairs.

You will work closely with operations to reduce downtime, uphold safety and quality standards through proactive monitoring, accurate record-keeping, and timely responses to urgent issues.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience in a manufacturing or operational environment.
• Experience in a regulated or quality-driven environment.
• Ability to coordinate external maintenance providers.
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge relevant to production equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Willingness to work outside standard hours when required.
• Good communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a preventative maintenance programme to minimise equipment downtime.
• Carry out routine inspections, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and basic repairs.
• Maintain up-to-date records of maintenance activities and repairs.
• Coordinate with external service providers for specialised maintenance.
• Oversee outsourced maintenance work to ensure timely completion.
• Monitor safety, quality, and performance standards during contractor work.
• Manage inventory of spare parts, tools and consumables.
• Identify opportunities to improve maintenance cost efficiency.
• Respond promptly to urgent maintenance issues.
• Support continuous improvement and equipment performance.
