Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is partnering with an established manufacturing organisation in Ireland to recruit a Maintenance Technician. The role involves a 12-hour, 4-cycle shift pattern and responsibilities spanning optimization, maintenance, calibration, and fault diagnosis using PLCs.

Ideal candidates will have an Industrial Automation qualification and at least 2 years in a high-volume manufacturing environment, with experience in pick-and-place systems and AC motor control.

Qualifications

• Experience with PLCs and automation systems in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to perform planned preventative maintenance and rapid fault-response.
• Experience with installation, maintenance and calibration of industrial equipment.
• Strong commitment to site health & safety standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Optimize and improve existing production processes and equipment performance.
• Drive yield improvement through planned preventive maintenance and rapid fault response.
• Support equipment installation, maintenance, and calibration activities.
• Use PLC programmes to diagnose technical faults and implement effective solutions.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with site health & safety standards and procedures.
