Job summary

CPL is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our busy manufacturing site in Ireland. You will support preventative and predictive maintenance, perform repairs, and ensure maximum availability of critical equipment across manufacturing areas.

You will collaborate with Operations, Engineering and Facilities, liaising with contractors and suppliers to minimise downtime. The role requires strong GMP knowledge and willingness to travel for training.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical and electronic repair and diagnostic skills.
• Experience in pneumatic and hydraulic fault finding and repair.
• Good understanding of robotics and automated manufacturing systems.
• Experience working with high-speed manufacturing equipment.
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting vision systems.
• Knowledge of Windows networking.
• Some programming experience.
• Experience working in an FDA-regulated GMP environment.
• Previous experience in a cleanroom environment.
• Willingness and ability to travel for training.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance support to designated manufacturing areas and ensure maximum equipment uptime.
• Carry out preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance on a wide range of manufacturing equipment.
• Respond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns, minimising production downtime.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic faults.
• Support the Facilities team and liaise with external contractors when required.
• Contribute to reliability-centred maintenance programmes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support Total Asset Care and 5S programmes across manufacturing and technical areas.
• Assist with new product development and new equipment introduction projects.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using the site CMMS.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Health & Safety, Environmental and GMP requirements.
