Job summary

Elk Recruitment is seeking a driven Maintenance Technician to join our client’s growing team based in North Dublin, with the role located in Swords. This permanent, full-time position offers a €45,000 salary and a 5 day over 7 shift schedule, with on-site parking and an employee discount.

You will perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on machinery in a food manufacturing environment, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, coordinate with production to minimise downtime, inspect

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience working in maintenance within the food manufacturing industry.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Electrical knowledge/ experience is highly beneficial.
• Flexibility to work shifts/weekends is required.

Responsibilities

• Performing routine preventive maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment such as (baggers, packers, washline equipment) to ensure optimal operation.
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues promptly and effectively.
• Collaborating with production staff to schedule maintenance activities minimizing downtime and production interruptions.
• Inspecting equipment regularly to identify problems or potential failures and take corrective actions.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records, including work performed, parts used, and inspection results.
