Overview

Job Title – Maintenance Manager

Job Location – Co. Dublin

Salary – €70K - €75K BOE

About the Company:

Are you an experienced Maintenance Manager with experience working within the Food sector? Then this is the role for you!

Our client here at Inform3 are recruiting for a Maintenance Manager to join their team where you will be managing the maintenance function and a team of maintenance team members.

The factory operates Monday through to Saturday from 4.00am to 7pm each day. So, this role will be Monday – Friday 8am – 4:30pm but required on occasions to work Saturdays or start at 4am and work to 7pm when needed.

Responsibilities
  • Being actively hands on, to carry out production centric and facility maintenance activities in the factory.
  • Ensuring all maintenance activities are carried out in line with current H&S and Food Safety legislation.
  • Mechanical / electrical repairs to a wide range of equipment & processes for example high speed packing, automation, electro/mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic systems and facilities maintenance are just some of the engineering elements that will be encountered.
  • Understanding and managing (and the ability to track/manage) the maintenance function KPIs.
  • Thought process for dealing with and resolving issues and leading their team.
  • Implement preventative maintenance program and manage the process for recording/verifying maintenance logs/records.
  • Monitor and drive improvements in the effectiveness of all maintenance activities.
  • Own, monitor, report on and implement improvements to increase equipment efficiency.
  • Managing the supplier/vendor processes - engaging with suppliers, field service engineers, etc for organising required works.
  • Managing team activities, rostering, assigning tasks & work, etc to deliver against targets/KPIs.
  • Identify, manage and carry out preventative maintenance outside formal maintenance programs.
Essential Criteria
  • Understanding of H&S legislative requirements relating to maintenance activities and ability to manage a function where all maintenance work is carried out in line with H&S standards.
  • Ability to manage a team and manage the work environment to facilitate the maintenance function deliver against its KPIs.
  • Strong people management skills and understanding of people and of people centric policies, procedures, and legislation.
  • Qualification with strong aptitude and wide-ranging mechanical skills and/or electrical and/or fitter skills.
  • Ability to read mechanical schematic drawings, use multi-meters and troubleshoot electrical faults.
  • Good understanding of automation and an automated environment.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, ideally food or FMCG. Knowledge of Multi-Vac systems and process would be a distinct advantage.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong, coherent and logical thought process.
  • Highly motivated with proven ability to work on own initiative, a good team player and self-motivated.
