Job summary

Elk Recruitment is seeking a Production Maintenance Engineer for a client site in Drogheda, Meath. The role focuses on maintaining packaging line equipment and related systems to ensure continuous production.

The successful candidate will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, and collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime, while maintaining detailed maintenance records. A minimum of 3 years in manufacturing maintenance is expected, with flexibility for shift/weekend work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a maintenance technician in manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Electrical knowledge/ experience is highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on machinery such as baggers, packers, washline equipment to ensure optimal operation.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues promptly and effectively.
• Collaborate with production staff to schedule maintenance activities minimizing downtime and production interruptions.
• Inspect equipment regularly to identify problems or potential failures and take corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work performed, parts used, and inspection results.
