Job summary

Wallace Myers International is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a 12-month contract in Waterford, Ireland. This day-shift role focuses on diagnosing faults, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring the site runs safely and efficiently in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.

You will collaborate with production, quality and technical colleagues, bringing 5+ years of maintenance experience and appropriate trade certificates. Knowledge of cGMP and PLC diagnostics is essential.

Qualifications

• Requires Junior and Senior Trade Certificates or an equivalent third-level qualification.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician in a multi-skilled team.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
• Strong working knowledge of cGMP.
• Ability to fault-find on pneumatic systems and use PLC diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair process and facilities equipment to keep production output on target.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance on schedule and record routines in the maintenance management system.
• Adhere to SOPs, cGMP standards and site safety rules in all tasks.
• Keep documentation accurate and escalate significant downtime promptly by email.
• Participate in team meetings and propose process improvements across the plant.
• Provide cover across facilities and manufacturing maintenance teams when needed.

Maintenance Technician

Overview

A leading pharmaceutical manufacturer is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join its engineering team on a 12-month contract (day shift). You'll be part of a multi-skilled team keeping a regulated production site running safely and efficiently.

This is a hands-on role where you'll be diagnosing faults, getting equipment back online quickly and helping the site improve how it runs. You'll work closely with production, quality and technical colleagues every day.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair process and facilities equipment to keep production output on target.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance on schedule and close out routines accurately in the maintenance management system.
• Carry out all work in line with SOPs, cGMP standards and site safety rules.
• Keep documentation accurate and up to date, and **escalate** any significant downtime promptly by email.
• Take part in team meetings and put forward ideas that improve processes across the plant.
• Provide cover across facilities and manufacturing maintenance teams when needed.

Criteria

• Hold a Junior and Senior Trade Certificate, or an equivalent third-level qualification.
• You have at least 5 years' experience as a Maintenance Technician within a multi-skilled team.
• You have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
