Job summary

Nua Healthcare Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance manager in keeping our properties safe and well-maintained in Carlow, Ireland. The role involves completing repair orders, performing mechanical, electrical and plumbing tasks, and coordinating preventative maintenance with proper training.

A full Irish driving licence is required and a proactive, team-oriented approach is essential.

Responsibilities

• Completes repair orders for general maintenance tasks within the requested time frame.
• Notifies management of major repairs or equipment additions (lighting, heating, ventilation).
• Performs repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, kitchen and laundry equipment as needed.
• Assigns and supervises preventative maintenance work with proper training.
• Keeps thorough reporting and documentation up to date.
• Ensures safe operation of property and equipment per manufacturer specifications.
• Participates in a rotational on-call system.

Job Objectives

The Role of a Maintenance Technician is to support the Maintenance Manager in the maintenance and safe upkeep of our various properties, completing repair orders for general repairs as requested within the allotted time frame.

This Will Include The Following On a Day-to-day Basis

• Live our Mission, Vision and Values.
• Completes repair orders for general repair as requested
• Notify management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
• Perform some repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, kitchen, and laundry equipment.
• Assigns with proper training and direction completion of preventative maintenance work or repairs.
• Completes all necessary reporting and documentation as required.
• Ensures that property and equipment are maintained in a safe manner, and that all repairs are made as specified by manufacturer.
• Complies with company's safety / security rules and instructions in performing work efficiently.
• Participate in a rotational on call system.
