Job summary

Exotec Ireland seeks a Maintenance Site Team Leader to launch and shape its maintenance operations for a major food & beverage distributor. You will split time at the client warehouse, maintaining advanced automation systems and leading a small but growing team of technicians.

This hands-on role suits an experienced maintenance technician stepping into leadership or a proactive leader ready to influence local maintenance delivery while ensuring safety, quality and schedule adherence.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance experience with at least 1 year in senior or mentorship role.
• Strong mechanical, electrical and software maintenance knowledge.
• Interest in robotics systems and machines; warehouse automation exposure beneficial.
• Strong client-facing mindset and autonomous decision-making.
• Basic SQL knowledge is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Lead team of on-site Maintenance Technicians based at client warehouse location, inclusive of recruiting, onboarding, performance management and regular training & development
• Support Maintenance Technicians in their daily work by providing hands-on technical support as well as operational direction
• Conduct, plan and ensure preventive maintenance tasks and other maintenance tasks are carried out on-time and on-schedule
• Act as Exotec's local representative for assigned warehouse location
• Monitor system performance at client site, providing regular and timely data reports to internal and external stakeholders
• See that any escalations or system performance issues are resolved as soon as possible
• Ensure material purchasing stays within budget
• Manage any third-party schedules as appropriate, making sure mandatory equipment inspections are completed within scheduled timelines
• Ensure Maintenance team members, external partners, contractors/vendors, warehouse operators and any site visitors are compliant with health, safety and environmental standards and protocol
• Participate in continuous improvement projects
