Job summary

Recruitment by Aphex is seeking a Maintenance Planner to own the maintenance business processes. The role focuses on developing and operating the PPM system, planning CM work orders, and coordinating scheduling to meet site targets.

You will collaborate with the Maintenance Manager, Reliability Engineer and contractors to implement best practices and KPI tracking across PM/CM activities. The position is based on-site in Ireland.

Qualifications

• Educational background in Electrical & Instrument Craft, Mechanical Craft, or Engineering.
• Proficient with SAP, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience in maintenance planning or reliability activities is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and day-to-day operation of the maintenance system.
• Develop PPM system including job plans and maintenance frequencies; liaise with Reliability Engineer.
• Operate the PPM Change Control System and manage CM backlog.
• Coordinate work scheduling to meet site PM/CM targets with API Maintenance Manager and Scheduler.
• May act as second level Gatekeeper to review incoming work requests for data accuracy and work type.
• Plan CM work orders by visiting sites, ordering materials, and writing task lists with risk assessments.
• Collaborate with contract providers for vendor-assisted work (mechanical/electrical).
• Develop KPI reports with Maintenance & Reliability Engineer (e.g., PPM compliance, overdue PMs, MTBF).
• Plan, estimate and coordinate maintenance and projects for the Annual Summer Shutdown.
• Support equipment annual reviews and periodic trend reports.
• Implement maintenance best practices and standard work for routine tasks.
• Liaise on criticality assessments and new maintenance strategies with Project Engineering team.

Job description

Purpose

Reporting to the API Maintenance & Reliability Lead will have specific responsibility for the ownership and successful operation of maintenance business processes.

Responsibilities

1. Under the direction to the API Maintenance & Reliability Lead assist in the overall development, implementation and day to day operation of the Maintenance system.
2. Development of the PPM system including writing job plans and developing maintenance frequencies. Liaises with the Maintenance and Reliability Engineer on implementation of the PdM program.
3. Operation and execution of the PPM Change Control System.
4. In conjunction with the API Maintenance Manager and API Operations Scheduler/ coordinating the Work Scheduling process to ensure site specific targets on PM and CM backlog management are achieved.
5. May act as a second level 'Gatekeeper' after the Operations Gatekeeper to review incoming work requests ensuring data accuracy, correct work type and to manage CM Backlogs.
6. Actively plans CM work orders by visiting job sites, booking/ordering materials, writing task lists, performing risk assessments etc.
7. Works closely with contract providers to plan work requests that require vendor assistant e.g. Mechanical & Electrical contractors.
8. Works closely with the Maintenance & Reliability Engineer to develop and communicate relevant KPI's for the maintenance team e.g. PPM Compliance %, Overdue PM's, Schedule Adherence, MTBF, %PdM Executed etc.
9. Planning, estimating, co-ordinating all aspects of maintenance and project activities associated with the Annual Summer Shutdown.
10. Support the API Maintenance & Reliability Lead in the development of the equipment annual review and support the Maintenance and Reliability Engineer in the development of periodic OOT trend report.
11. Support and assist the API Maintenance & Reliability Lead to implement maintenance best practice methodologies/technologies including LSS processes e.g. creation of standard work for routine maintenance activities.
12. Liaise with Project Engineering and the Maintenance and Reliability Engineer on criticality assessments and developing new maintenance strategies/plans for new assets.
