Job summary

Independent Solutions in Ireland is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join the engineering and maintenance team at Ballydine, Co. Tipperary.

The role focuses on maintenance planning, scheduling, preventive maintenance, contractor coordination and shutdown planning within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have qualifications in Electrical/Instrumentation, Mechanical Craft or Engineering, with proven experience in maintenance

Qualifications

• Electrical/Instrumentation, Mechanical Craft qualification or Engineering qualification.
• Experience in maintenance planning/scheduling within pharmaceutical, biotech, chemical or regulated manufacturing.
• Knowledge of preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance.
• Experience with CMMS/SAP and Microsoft Office.
• Strong planning, organisation, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience with contractor coordination and shutdown planning is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Develop maintenance job plans, schedules and maintenance frequencies.
• Manage maintenance work orders, backlog and change control activities.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with Engineering, Operations and external contractors.
• Plan and coordinate the annual plant shutdown, including resources, materials, contractors and schedules.
• Support maintenance KPI tracking, including PM compliance, schedule adherence and backlog performance.
• Assist with equipment criticality assessments and maintenance strategy development.
• Support continuous improvement and maintenance best-practice initiatives.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with GMP, safety, environmental and validation requirements.
