Job summary

Fota Island Resort in Cork is seeking a Maintenance Operative to join our team. You will perform general maintenance tasks to keep our hotel and facilities in excellent condition, supporting day-to-day operations.

The role requires a hands-on, flexible approach, good attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and with a team. Training opportunities and staff facilities are provided.

Qualifications

• General maintenance experience or a practical skill set.
• Hands-on, flexible approach to work.
• Good communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general DIY and painting tasks
• Submit requests to reorder supplies and spare parts as required to the Manager
• Assist in performing a preventive maintenance programme
• Maintain equipment, tools, and machinery in good working order
• Submit reports to the Engineering Manager on the condition of buildings and equipment
• Assist in performing emergency work regarding fire, water, electricity, and other essential services
• Maintain a high standard of work while performing duties and responsibilities
• Follow all company procedures and policies and cooperate in maintaining them
• Monitor the aesthetics and ensure the upkeep and immaculate appearance of the hotel
