Job description

We are now hiring a Maintenance Assistant to join our maintenance department at The Cork International Hotel.

Painting Knowledge/experience Is Essential

Requirements

• To ensure the hotel has achieved the correct maintenance at all times.
• To rectify any maintenance issues within the hotel daily
• To assist in the implementation of planned prevention maintenance system in operation
• Maintain the Rooms Preventative Maintenance list and consistently keep updated records on file.
• To maintain maintenance as part of the "Perfect Room" project in conjunction with the Maintenance manager
• To help monitor and control costs in all areas, energy-saving, etc.
• Ensure all items from "Opera" and/ or "Niggle" maintenance list are actioned
• To ensure guests safety by eliminating potential risks and hazards
• To perform fire walks checking all fire life safety equipment on a daily basis or as required.
• To help ensure all health, safety and fire regulation are adhered to.
• To ensure appropriate quality steps are documented and adhered to at all times.
• To ensure all guests maintenance issues are handled urgently in line with agreed procedure.
• To report all accidents or incidents according to hotel policy.
• To be familiar with and adhere to all areas outlined in the team hand book.
• To attend training sessions as required
• To carry out any reasonable request from management.
• Complete work order requests in a timely manner
• Maintain all mechanical areas in an orderly and clean condition
• Inspect public areas daily for any issues
• Providing maintenance repairs to guestrooms, public areas and administrative offices
• Repairs may include plumbing, furnishings and fixtures, painting, wall cover repairs, light carpentry, door and window repairs.
