Description

As a Maintenance Manager, you will lead a team of multidisciplinary service partners in delivering critical maintenance services across Apple's campus. You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, directly impacting employee productivity and the overall Apple experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all maintenance activities are seamless across the campus minimizing business interruption, whilst identifying improvements in current processes.
• Continuously improve a structured preventive maintenance program to maximize plant and equipment up time.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for emergency maintenance incidents (including after-hours support), ensuring rapid response, clear communication, and effective resolution.
• Coordinate with the discipline leads within the Places team and support CAPEX project interfaces for shutdowns, tie-ins, etc.
• Oversee all maintenance-related contracts, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and quality standards to drive operational excellence.
• Foster and maintain excellent relationships with stakeholders and service partners.
• Provide consistent and proactive updates to leadership on operational performance, maintenance trends, and potential risks.
• Oversee site compliance and maintain audit-ready records, ensuring all works, inspections, and permits adhere to ISO certifications, manufacturer standards, and safety protocols. Address regulatory feedback proactively.
• Provide outstanding customer service, enabling internal Apple customers to do their life’s best work in safe, well-maintained facilities.
• Use data analytics to understand key indications and inform the OPEX team on how they should pivot on planned vs reactive activities where required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in facilities maintenance, operations management, overseeing complex maintenance programs, service requests, and compliance processes in a large corporate office environment or similar.
• Experience managing external vendors, service level agreements (SLAs), and multidisciplinary service partners.
• Direct experience managing work order systems, preventive maintenance programs, and technician performance in a high-demand environment.
• Technical background with a Level 6 craft certificate, or equivalent degree/experience in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven people management experience with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
• Experience utilizing CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems), CAFM, or data analytics tools to drive maintenance strategies.
• Financial acumen with experience managing contract budgets and tracking OPEX/CAPEX interfaces.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new technology and complex workflows.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
