Job summary

Pilgrim's Europe in Castleblayney seeks a Maintenance Manager to lead the site maintenance function, delivering best practice engineering, maximising asset reliability and supporting operational excellence.

You will drive preventative maintenance, standardise systems across production areas, manage budgets, coach the maintenance team, and sustain a culture of continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification is essential.
• Significant engineering and maintenance leadership experience within manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of asset management and preventive maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the site maintenance department to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
• Develop and implement asset management best practices and preventative maintenance strategies.
• Drive standardisation of engineering systems across production areas.
• Manage maintenance systems, spare parts control, and utilisation of Holistech and MYMRO.
• Oversee maintenance budgets and control expenditure on spare parts and engineering activities.
• Plan and prioritise maintenance activities to minimise downtime and maximise equipment reliability.
• Develop, coach, and support maintenance teams through training, performance management, and succession planning.
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement across engineering and operations.
• Collaborate with production and project teams to successfully deliver new equipment, products, and process developments.
• Manage contractor performance, ensuring safety, quality, and value for money.
• Monitor and maintain site engineering KPIs and compliance standards.
• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety, Environmental, and legislative requirements.
