Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Ireland is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain, repair, and install mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment across the site. You will work with external contractors, use CMMS for planning, and help drive a safe, proactive maintenance culture.

You will liaise with Engineering and Production teams to ensure quality and timely completion of tasks, participate in continuous improvement, and uphold company safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and install mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment on site.
• Apply excellent problem-solving skills to fault-find and rectify problems.
• Work independently with OEMs and external contractors on maintenance, repairs, and installations.
• Promote and lead a proactive and positive safety culture, adhering to safe working practices.
• Use CMMS to generate and record all planned, reactive, and project work.
• Liaise with OEMs and vendors when diagnosing faults, ordering or sourcing parts.
• Provide support and participate in continuous improvement projects and trials.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with quality requirements and company policy.
• Communicate effectively with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams.
