Job summary

Force in Ireland is seeking a Mechanical Fitter (Site & Installation) to support project work across Leinster. This hands-on role involves installation, maintenance and fitting of mechanical equipment on customer sites.

You will read engineering drawings, travel to sites around Ireland, and work safely with supervision and project teams. Welding/fabrication experience is an advantage, and a valid Safe Pass/Manual Handling cert are desirable.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Mechanical Fitter or similar role.
• Experience in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Welding/fabrication experience an advantage.
• Flexible to travel to customer sites around Ireland.
• Safe Pass and Manual Handling certs desirable.
• Full clean driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installation and assembly of mechanical equipment and machinery on customer sites
• Mechanical fitting and installation work including conveyors, machinery, platforms, structural components, motors, bearings, gearboxes and pipework
• Assisting with fabrication, assembly and installation projects across industrial and manufacturing sites
• Supporting maintenance, upgrade and installation projects on industrial equipment and systems
• Assisting with plant upgrades, shutdowns and project installations
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical plans
• Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues on-site
• Working closely with site supervisors, engineers and project teams
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
• Following health & safety procedures at all times

Job description

We’re partnering with a well-established and growing engineering company in Co. Westmeath to recruit a Mechanical Fitter (Site & Installation) to support project work at locations in Leinster. This is a hands-on role working across a variety of industrial and engineering projects at a location convenient to your base.

The successful candidate will work as part of the site team carrying out mechanical fitting, installation and maintenance work within manufacturing and industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation and assembly of mechanical equipment and machinery on customer sites
• Mechanical fitting and installation work including conveyors, machinery, platforms, structural components, motors, bearings, gearboxes and pipework
