Baker Finn Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a permanent role in Cork. You will maintain manufacturing systems and equipment in a processing environment, supporting preventative maintenance and continuous improvement while ensuring safe and efficient production operations.

The role requires hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical automation, strong report-writing skills, and a good level of computer literacy.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience maintaining manufacturing systems and equipment within a processing plant.
  • Knowledge, qualification and understanding of electrical and mechanical automation.
  • A good level of computer literacy and report-writing skills.
  • Strong time-management skills.
  • Candidates must hold a current visa/right to work in the Republic of Ireland.
  • Drivers licence and car required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development and implementation of preventative maintenance routines and manufacturing processes.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives in conjunction with the maintenance team.
  • Apply Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and take a proactive approach to ensuring maintenance tasks are completed.
  • Support the safe and efficient operation of maintenance systems.
  • Maintain controls, sensors, pneumatics and electrical systems within a fast-paced production facility.
  • Recognise, diagnose and resolve common engineering problems relating to production machinery.
  • Work as part of the wider team to deliver necessary improvements and repairs to process-related issues across the production facility.
  • Track downtime and support the deployment and use of mean time failure data.

About the Role

Baker Finn Recruitment is recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established organisation in Cork. This is a permanent opportunity for an engineer with hands-on experience maintaining manufacturing systems and equipment within a processing environment. The successful candidate will support preventative maintenance, continuous improvement and the safe, efficient operation of production equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the development and implementation of preventative maintenance routines and manufacturing processes.
