Maintenance Technician
The Nuremore Estate by McGettigan’s
We are looking for a reliable, skilled and hands‑on Maintenance Technician to join the team at The Nurémore Estate by McGettigan’s.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the estate, buildings, grounds, equipment and facilities are maintained to a high standard, helping us provide a safe, comfortable and exceptional environment for our guests and team.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general maintenance, repairs and upkeep throughout the estate and facilities.
- Respond promptly to maintenance issues and complete repairs where possible.
- Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Identify faults and arrange or assist with specialist contractors when required.
- Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and general building maintenance.
- Maintain and repair fixtures, fittings, furniture, doors, locks and other equipment.
- Assist with the upkeep of outdoor areas, grounds and estate facilities.
- Ensure maintenance areas, tools and equipment are kept clean, organised and safe.
- Carry out regular checks of facilities and report any issues that require attention.
- Assist with setting up and maintaining areas for events and hospitality operations.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and ensure work is completed safely.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance work and outstanding issues.
- Work closely with management and other departments to minimise disruption to guests and operations.
- Carry out any other reasonable maintenance duties required to support the smooth running of the estate.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities or similar hands‑on role.
- Practical knowledge of general building maintenance and repairs.
- Good problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Reliable, organised and conscientious with a strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexible and willing to respond to urgent maintenance issues when required.
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.
- Hospitality, hotel, estate or commercial property maintenance experience would be an advantage.
- Relevant trade qualifications or experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry or similar trades are desirable.
