Job summary

24-7 Recruitment Services Ltd is recruiting for a Slitting Operator in the Louth (LN11) area. The role focuses on setting up and running Universal Slitting Machines to ensure efficient, safe production and high-quality output.

What you’ll do: operate the slitter, maintain traceability, and meet KPIs across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Cash. 12‑hour shifts are involved, with 2 days, 2 nights and 4 days off, with potential nights as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse, production or manufacturing environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach.
• Good teamwork and clear communication skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced production setting and learn processes.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Universal Slitting Machines.
• Maintain optimum efficiency and follow procedures and quality standards.
• Remove reels and package to customer specifications.
• Maintain product traceability and auditable records.
• Record inputs and outputs throughout the process.
• Meet KPI targets for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Cash.
• Support grinding and pelletisation processes when required.
• Carry out manual handling up to 25 kg.

Our client, based in theLouth (LN11) area, is a leadingEuropean packaging companyspecialising in flexible and sustainable packaging solutions for some of the world's most respected brands. They are currently recruiting for aSlitting Operatorto join their production and warehouse team.

The Role

As aSlitting Operator, you will be responsible for theset-up and operation of Universal Slitting Machines, ensuring production runs efficiently, safely and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting up and runningUniversal Slitting Machines
• Ensuring the slitter operates atoptimum efficiency, following set procedures and quality standards
• Removing reels as directed and packaging them in line withcustomer specifications
• Maintaining fullproduct traceabilityand compliance to auditable standards
• Recording all inputs and outputs throughout the process
• Ensuring allKPIsacrossSafety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Cashare achieved on a shift-by-shift basis
• Supporting grinding and pelletisation processes where required
• Carrying out manual handling duties, including lifting up to25kg
