Job summary

Collins McNicholas Group is seeking a reliable and hardworking General Operator to join our established manufacturing team on a Night Shift in Ireland’s Connacht region. The role involves operating folding machines, glue systems and other production equipment, while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

You will monitor machinery, perform basic troubleshooting, conduct quality checks and work with the team to hit production targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, production or machine operation is advantageous.
• Willingness to work night shifts.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic numeracy skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to read, understand and follow written work instructions.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Reliable, punctual and eager to learn.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate folding machines, glue systems and other production equipment.
• Monitor machinery during production and carry out basic troubleshooting.
• Complete regular quality checks on finished products.
• Ensure all products meet required customer specifications and quality standards.
• Follow all health & safety procedures, SOPs and quality guidelines.
• Pack, label and prepare finished products for dispatch.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe work area.
• Work closely with other members of the production team to ensure smooth operations.
• Achieve agreed production, quality and efficiency targets.
• Report any machinery, quality or production issues to the appropriate team member.

Requirements

• Previous manufacturing, production or machine-operating experience is an advantage
