Job summary

Established Mechanical Building Services Contractor in Dublin seeks a Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial management of mechanical packages from procurement through final account. You will handle valuations, variations, subcontractor procurement and cost reporting, ensuring robust commercial control on site.

The role requires experience in Irish construction markets with a mechanical/building services focus, strong contract knowledge and the ability to work with project teams to maintain cost

Qualifications

• Must have QS experience within construction (mechanical/building services).
• Relevant QS or construction qualification.
• Proven experience in valuations, variations, procurement and cost reporting.
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial performance of mechanical packages.
• Prepare cost reports, forecasts and financial updates.
• Manage subcontractor procurement and tender analysis.
• Prepare interim valuations and payment applications.
• Assess and manage subcontractor accounts and payments.
• Identify, price and manage variations.
• Monitor project expenditure against budgets.
• Work with Project Managers and site teams on commercial matters.
• Maintain accurate contractual and commercial records.
• Manage commercial risks and identify cost opportunities.
• Prepare and negotiate final accounts.
• Support the wider commercial team on ongoing projects.
