Job summary

Ward & Burke, a leading Irish engineering contractor, seeks a Quantity Surveyor to support winning high-profile M&E tenders. You will prepare estimates, budgets, and tender documentation while engaging with subcontractors and design teams.

Qualifications

Third-level qualification in Mechanical/E Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying or related field.
Experience in estimating and cost planning for water and wastewater projects.
Knowledge of M&E equipment used in the water industry.

Responsibilities

Prepare cost estimates, budgets and tender documentation for M&E works.
Develop enquiries to subcontractors and suppliers and prepare contract documentation.
Evaluate quotations and assist with procurement of M&E packages.
Review drawings, specs and tender docs to develop competitive tender solutions.
Undertake value engineering to identify optimisation opportunities.
Assist in preparation and submission of high-quality tender documentation.
Review contract conditions and implications of amendments.
Participate in tender adjudication, pricing reviews and post-tender negotiations.
