Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced M&E Coordination Manager to join our Dublin building project. The role supports the design and construction teams, coordinating M&E information and ensuring timely release for site activities.

With a minimum of five years on-site experience in large-scale construction, you will lead M&E design coordination, manage sub-contractor submissions, and ensure compliance with safety, quality and contractual requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years on-site with a large-scale construction/engineering organisation.
• Degree qualified in a relevant area with M&E background.
• Experience delivering residential, commercial or mixed-use development.

Responsibilities

• Review M&E design information and undertake full design gap analysis with the project team.
• Monitor and coordinate M&E design information to ensure timely release for construction.
• Manage submission and approval of all M&E equipment and design information (drawings).
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, client and company requirements.
• Assist in the selection and appointment of M&E sub-contractors.
• Ensure subcontractors work within the Safety Management System and meet quality requirements.
• Maintain minutes of subcontractor meetings and assist with tender prep.

We are looking for an M&E Coordination Manager to join our team on a building project in Dublin. This role is open to both permanent and fixed term contract.

Making Possible

• Review M&E design information and undertake a full design gap analysis in conjunction with the project team.
• Monitor and co-ordinate the flow of M&E design information to ensure the timely release of information for construction activities.
• Manage the submission and approval process of all M&E technical equipment as required.
• Manage the submission and approval process of all M&E design information (drawings) as required.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, client and company requirements and assist with the preparation of the submission required for the BCAR uploads.
• Ensure M&E designs and details produced are economic and do not exceed budgeted or tendered cost and comply with our contract deliverables.
• Assist, in the selection and appointment of the M&E Sub-contractors.
• Ensure that specialist mechanical and electrical & sprinkler sub-contractors work strictly within company Safety Management System and comply fully with all its requirements.
• Ensure that specialist mechanical and electrical & Sprinkler sub-contractors provide in a timely manner all quality and statutory requirements.
• Manage and maintain accurate minutes of subcontractor meetings.
• Assist project quantity surveys with review and preparation of subcontractor monthly and final accounts.
• Manage multiple projects and multiple sub-contractors.
• Assist in the preparation of project tenders.

What do you bring to the role?

• Minimum of 5 years working on site with a large‑scale construction/engineering organisation.
• Degree qualified in a relevant area.
• A background in M&E.
• Previous experience in Residential, Commercial and / or mixed‑use development
• H&S awareness.
• Time‑served mechanical/ electrical background.
• Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency and meet challenging work goals.
• Ability to manage multiple project and multiple subcontractors.
• Experience in preparation of project tenders.
• Experience delivering project with BIM, word, Excel etc.
