Job summary

BAM is looking for an M&E Coordination Manager to join our team on a building project in Carlow. You will review M&E design information, coordinate flow, and manage submissions with the project team to support timely construction activities.

This role offers the opportunity to work with a great team on Ireland's largest projects and to develop skills to the highest industry standards. The role requires a degree in a relevant area and a background in M&E, with at least 5 years on-site

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant field and experience on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong background in M&E coordination and design information management.
• Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and design information flows.

Responsibilities

• Review M&E design information and undertake design gap analysis with the project team.
• Monitor and co-ordinate the flow of M&E design information for timely construction activities.
• Manage submission and approval processes for all M&E equipment and drawings.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and client requirements and assist BCAR uploads.
• Assist in the selection and appointment of M&E sub-contractors.
• Maintain minutes of subcontractor meetings and support tender prep.

Making Possible

• Review M&E design information and undertake a full design gap analysis in conjunction with the project team.
• Monitor and co-ordinate the flow of M&E design information to ensure the timely release of information for construction activities.
• Manage the submission and approval process of all M&E technical equipment as required.
• Manage the submission and approval process of all M&E design information (drawings) as required.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, client and company requirements and assist with the preparation of the submission required for the BCAR uploads.
• Ensure M&E designs and details produced are economic and do not exceed budgeted or tendered cost and comply with our contract deliverables.
• Assist, in the selection and appointment of the M&E Sub-contractors.
• Ensure that specialist mechanical and electrical & sprinkler sub-contractors work strictly within company Safety Management System and comply fully with all its requirements.
• Ensure that specialist mechanical and electrical & Sprinkler sub-contractors provide in a timely manner all quality and statutory requirements.
• Manage and maintain accurate minutes of subcontractor meetings.
• Assist project quantity surveys with review and preparation of subcontractor monthly and final accounts.
• Manage multiple projects and multiple sub-contractors.
• Assist in the preparation of project tenders.

What do you bring to the role?

• Minimum of 5 years working on site with a large-scale construction/engineering organisation.
• Degree qualified in a relevant area.
• A background in M&E.
• Previous experience in Residential, Commercial and / or mixed-use development
• H&S awareness.
• Time-served mechanical/ electrical background.
• Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency and meet challenging work goals.
• Ability to manage multiple project and multiple subcontractors.
• Experience in preparation of project tenders.
• Experience delivering project with BIM, word, Excel etc.
