Job summary

Stanley Build is seeking a Commercial Quantity Surveyor (M&E) to join our expanding commercial team in Ireland. You will manage the commercial and contractual aspects of M&E works from tender stage through final account, ensuring cost control, profitability and successful project delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying (or related field) and 2–4 years' experience in a commercial QS role with M&E exposure, along with strong analytical, negotiation and communication

Qualifications

Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline is essential.
2–4 years' experience in a commercial quantity surveying role with exposure to M&E, civil or relevant projects.
Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement and cost control.

Responsibilities

Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets and tender submissions for M&E works.
Review drawings, specifications and contract documentation to prepare detailed cost plans.
Assess subcontractor and supplier quotations and assist with procurement.
Monitor project expenditure, budgets and cash flow throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare interim valuations, payment applications and final accounts.
Manage variations, claims and contractual changes.
Produce monthly commercial reports and cost forecasts.
Work with project managers, engineers, clients and subcontractors to achieve commercial objectives.
Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost savings.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
