Job summary

Ballyfin is a 5-star luxury country house hotel in Ireland seeking a hard-working Maintenance Assistant for a 6-month fixed-term contract. You will report to the Maintenance Manager and handle deliveries, stores, and general on-site tasks.

Responsibilities include greeting visitors, distributing deliveries, stocking controls, and supporting the maintenance team with ad hoc tasks. A professional, organised approach is essential.

Responsibilities

• Answering the security phone at all times
• Receive, check and distribute deliveries to appropriate areas and staff ensuring correct paperwork is completed and relevant systems are updated
• Ensure all stores are secure
• Be the main person of contact for visitors and contractors on site
• Ensure that all storage areas are clean and orderly with correct stock separation and rotation
• Transport stock from the cage to the main house when requested
• Collect post and deliver to the office
• Accepting food deliveries and recording correct temperature
• Light painting work as and when required
• Assist the Maintenance team with adhoc tasks as and when required
