Job summary

Stem-Recruitment-Solutions- is seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to support day-to-day transport, dispatch and logistics operations onsite in Tuam, Galway. You will coordinate domestic and export deliveries, working with production, warehouse, customers and third-party transport providers to ensure orders are delivered on time and cost-effectively.

The role requires 3+ years in logistics, experience in manufacturing, strong Excel and ERP skills, and fluent English.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years' experience in logistics, dispatch or transport operations.
  • Manufacturing or construction environment experience is essential.
  • Good knowledge of transport regulations, compliance and H&S requirements.
  • Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate transport, dispatch and logistics activities across domestic and export markets.
  • Manage dispatch schedules in conjunction with warehouse and production teams.
  • Liaise with customers, hauliers, subcontractors and internal departments regarding orders, load planning and delivery schedules.
  • Prepare picking lists and organise transport/shipping documentation.
  • Track deliveries and resolve transport or scheduling issues.
  • Plan routes and identify opportunities to reduce transport costs and improve service.
  • Maintain accurate logistics and shipment records through ERP and transport management systems.
  • Ensure transport activities comply with company procedures, H&S requirements and relevant regulations.
  • Support continuous improvement across logistics and dispatch processes.

Logistics Coordinator- Galway onsite role.

Our client, an established manufacturing business, is seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to support the day-to-day management of transport, dispatch and logistics operations.

The successful candidate will coordinate domestic and export deliveries, working closely with production, warehouse teams, customers and third-party transport providers to ensure orders are delivered on time and cost-effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate transport, dispatch and logistics activities across domestic and export markets.
  • Manage dispatch schedules in conjunction with warehouse and production teams.
  • Liaise with customers, hauliers, subcontractors and internal departments regarding orders, load planning and delivery schedules.
  • Prepare picking lists and organise transport/shipping documentation.

Experience & Skills

  • 3+ years' experience in logistics, dispatch or transport operations.
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or construction environment is essential.
  • Qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a similar field is desirable.
  • Good knowledge of transport regulations, compliance and Health & Safety requirements.
  • Strong Excel and ERP systems experience; exposure to transport/routing systems is advantageous.
  • Excellent organisational, planning and customer service skills.
  • Experience dealing with customers, drivers, contractors and third-party transport providers.
  • Strong written and verbal English.
  • Forklift licence desirable; teleporter certification is an advantage.

Ideal for an experienced Logistics/Transport Coordinator who enjoys a busy operational environment and wants to play a key role in improving delivery performance and logistics efficiency.

Given the critical importance of this role in the day-to-day running of the business, any applicant must be fluent in English and have practical Irish industry experience. This is a 5-day-per-week on-site role and any applicant must already be resident in Ireland with a valid work permit or visa in place.
