Job summary

Hawthorn Logistics is seeking a Logistics Apprentice to join our team in Ballycoolin, Dublin. You will receive on‑the‑job training four days a week and classroom training at TU Dublin one day a week to develop multi‑modal skills and customs proficiency.

The role covers air, sea, courier and road operations, creating jobs in our logistics software and liaising with suppliers and customers while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Customer-service mindset and passion to delight the customer.
• Self-starter, able to work independently and in a team.
• Proficient in MS Outlook and MS Office.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day export and import operations for air, sea, courier and road shipments.
• Liaise with suppliers, customers and international partners.
• Create jobs using logistics software and handle accounting procedures.
• Book collections and deliveries via third-party transport providers.
• Provide timely and accurate quotations to current and potential customers.
• Handle customs formalities for exports and imports.
