This role combines deep linguistic expertise with technology, automation, AI innovation, and process optimization to help deliver exceptional multilingual customer experiences across global markets. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving AI adoption, redesigning localization workflows & Quality Processes, automating manual processes, managing linguistic assets, and ensuring the highest standards of language quality across products, content, and customer-facing experiences.

This position is ideal for an individual who is passionate about languages, technology, artificial intelligence, and operational excellence, and who wants to help shape the future of AI-enabled localization and globalization.

This is a Hybrid position located in Ireland. You may be required to be onsite on an as-needed basis. We are only considering candidates in Ireland and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.

About The Role

AI, Automation & Innovation

• Drive the adoption of AI-powered localization technologies and workflows.
• Identify opportunities to leverage Generative AI, Machine Translation, Large Language Models (LLMs), and automation technologies to improve scalability, quality, and efficiency.
• Evaluate emerging AI solutions and recommend innovative approaches to improve multilingual customer experiences.
• Design and implement process improvements that reduce manual effort and accelerate delivery.
• Develop and support automation solutions using scripting, integrations, and workflow technologies.
• Contribute to the evolution of AI-enabled globalization and localization engineering practices.

Language Quality & Linguistic Excellence

• Serve as a linguistic subject matter expert for one or more European languages.
• Conduct linguistic quality assurance (LQA) activities and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Define and maintain language quality standards, style guides, terminology, and best practices.
• Ensure multilingual content is linguistically accurate, culturally appropriate, and aligned with brand standards.
• Partner with stakeholders to resolve linguistic challenges and improve localization outcomes.

Linguistic Assets & AI Language Resources

• Own and manage critical linguistic assets used across localization and AI initiatives.
• Curate, develop, maintain, and govern:
• Terminology databases
• Translation memories
• Taxonomies
• Ontologies
• Style guides
• Language standards
• AI evaluation datasets
• Establish governance processes that ensure consistency, quality, reusability, and scalability of language resources.
• Support the development of multilingual language assets that improve AI performance and customer experiences.

About You

Required Skills

• Native or near-native proficiency in at least one European language.
• Strong linguistic expertise and understanding of localization best practices.
• Experience working in localization engineering, Localization QA, language technology, globalization, content operations, or a related field.
• Experience with Localization Management Systems (TMS) and localization technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated experience improving workflows and operational processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a global and highly collaborative environment.
• Passion for technology, innovation, AI, language quality, and customer experience.

Preferred Skills

AI & Emerging Technology

• Experience using Generative AI platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar technologies.
• Prompt engineering experience.
• Experience evaluating AI-generated multilingual content.
• Knowledge of AI governance, AI quality evaluation, and Responsible AI principles.
• Familiarity with AI agents, autonomous workflows, and agent orchestration concepts.
• Understanding of AI knowledge systems.

Automation & Technical Skills

• Python scripting and automation experience.
• Experience working with REST APIs and system integrations.
• Knowledge of JSON, XML, and data exchange formats.
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub and software development practices.
• Experience with Power Automate, Logic Apps, workflow automation platforms, or equivalent technologies.
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.

Localization Technology

• Experience with localization platforms such as XTM, Smartling, Phrase, MemoQ, Trados, or similar solutions.
• Understanding of Internationalization (i18n) principles and experience in guiding development best practice.
• Knowledge of translation memory, terminology management, machine translation, and localization automation.
• Experience supporting multilingual AI systems and language data management initiatives.
