Job summary

Quest Recruitment partners with a leading global financial services organisation in Dublin City to deliver an experienced Loan Operations leader. You will own the operational delivery of multiple client portfolios, oversee a growing team and shape the function’s evolution across private credit and loan structures.

You will manage complex loan lifecycle events, ensure robust controls, and collaborate with treasury and relationship teams to optimise workflows and service quality.

Qualifications

• Significant experience within loan operations, loan servicing, private credit, debt services, fund administration or portfolio monitoring.
• Strong knowledge of syndicated and bilateral loan structures.
• Experience managing loan lifecycle events and complex operational workflows.
• A successful track record of leading and developing teams.
• Strong client relationship and escalation-management experience.
• A detailed understanding of operational controls, reconciliations and risk.
• The ability to manage competing priorities within a deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing syndicated and bilateral loan portfolios comprising approximately 50–100 facilities.
• Managing and developing a team of portfolio or loan operations professionals.
• Taking ownership of client delivery, service quality and operational escalations.
• Overseeing drawdowns, repayments, interest, fees, invoicing and remittance activity.
• Ensuring cash movements and amounts due are collected, processed and reconciled.
• Coordinating portfolio funding requirements with treasury teams.
• Supporting the review and interpretation of loan and credit documentation.
• Maintaining a strong operational control environment.
• Identifying opportunities to improve workflows, controls and operating models.
• Supporting the onboarding of new clients, portfolios and team members.
• Working closely with relationship management, treasury and wider operational teams.

We are partnering with a leading global financial services organisation that is continuing to expand its Loan Operations capability in Dublin City.

Growth across private credit and fund-related lending has created an opportunity for an experienced Loan Operations leader to take ownership of complex client portfolios, develop a growing team and help shape the continued evolution of the function.

The role sits within a specialist fund services environment rather than traditional commercial or retail banking. It will suit someone with strong knowledge of syndicated loans, bilateral loans, private credit structures and the operational events that occur throughout the life of a loan.

The Opportunity

You will lead the operational delivery of multiple client portfolios, overseeing a team of loan professionals and ensuring that all loan activity is processed accurately, efficiently and within a robust control environment.

About You

You will ideally bring:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience with Sentry, WSO, ClearPar, Cassiopae or comparable loan operations platforms would be a distinct advantage.
