Job summary

White’s Oats in Ireland is seeking a Production Operator (Dayshift) to operate automated lines and ensure product quality across high-volume food production. You will follow SOPs, monitor processes, and adjust equipment to maintain compliance.

The role requires precise attention to detail, strong English, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Forklift licence is desirable or training provided; standard working hours are weekdays 8:00–16:30, with a healthcare and pension

Qualifications

  • Experience in a high-volume food processing environment.
  • Ability to work on own initiative with limited supervision.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong spoken and written English.
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation.

Responsibilities

  • Operate automated machinery and follow SOPs (training provided).
  • Monitor production process and record results in Foods Connected to ensure compliance.
  • Adjust equipment settings to maintain quality and compliance.
  • Carry out line changeovers as instructed by the Production team leader/Management.
  • Prepare for production and secure all required materials for quick line start.
  • Maintain lineside stocks through accurate use of shopfloor control system.
  • Be flexible and support teams across different parts of the process.
  • Maintain audit-ready standards at all times.
  • Contribute to production performance and quality targets.
  • Operate forklift as required.

Job description

  • Operating automated machinery, Using SOPS (training provided)
  • Monitoring production process and recording results in a quality monitoring system (Foods Connected) to ensure compliance.
  • Closely monitor production quality and adjusting equipment settings to ensure compliance
  • Carry out a Line change over when instructed to do so by your Production team leader / Management.
  • Ensure quick preparation for production and secure all required materials to aid the line's quick start.
  • Maintain lineside stocks through accurate use of shopfloor control system.
  • Flexible and adoptable to help teams across different parts of the process
  • Ensuring good audit ready standards at all times
  • Contribution to production performance and quality targets to deliver high-quality products
  • Forklift licence (training given)

  • Working with respect and integrity
  • Previous production experience in a high-volume food processing environment.
  • Ability to work on own initiative with limited supervision.
  • Have a high standard of spoken and written English.
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Working knowledge of health and safety legislation
  • Lean Manufacturing experience
  • Reach truck/counterbalance forklift license.

Normal working pattern is weekdays 8am – 4.30pm
