Job summary

ArraTipp in Nenagh, Co. Tipperary, is seeking a Production Support role to assist the Production Shift Manager in running a highly automated milk processing site on a 24/7 basis. The role focuses on leading production operatives, ensuring safety and quality, and driving efficiency across shifts.

The successful candidate will bring experience in food processing and a relevant qualification, with strong analytical and communication skills to support continuous improvement and SOP development.

Qualifications

• Experience in a production role in a food processing environment is advantageous.
• Qualification in food science, process engineering or production management is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support the Production Shift Manager in running a 24/7 milk processing site.
• Lead production operatives, manage shift rotation and drive safety.
• Identify process improvements and liaise with stakeholders.
• Ensure health and safety policies and SOPs are followed.
• Drive quality, capacity planning, and lean initiatives.
• Report to senior management and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Assist with SOP development.
• Maintain compliance and cost-effectiveness.

Location: Nenagh Co. Tipperary

Support the Production Shift Manager in taking responsibility for the effective and efficient operation of a highly automated 24/7 milk processing site.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Production Shift Manager in:
• Ensuring the manufacture of products to the highest standards in the safest, most cost effective and efficient manner.
• Fully utilising and harnessing the Production and Maintenance Teams capability through effective leadership, processes that are consistently applied and accurately measured against the business objectives.
• Day to day management of production operatives on the shift rotation
• Identifying and implementing process improvements in conjunction with key stakeholders
• Ensuring strict adherence to all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Ensuring consistent adherence to company policies and standard operating procedures.
• Maintaining and driving quality standards in process, people, and product.
• Capacity planning for existing and future products
• Identifying and implementing Lean initiatives
• Contributing to the culture of continuous improvement
• Reporting and communicating effectively with the senior management team on an ongoing basis.
• Assisting with the development of Standard Operating Procedures.

Qualifications/Experience and Competencies Required

• Experience in a production role in a Food processing environment a distinct advantage
• Food/ Science or Process/Engineering/Production Management qualification or equivalent desirable.
