Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a highly motivated Cost Engineer to support life sciences projects. You will ensure cost transparency, financial control, and commercial rigor across complex programs in pharmaceutical manufacturing, biotechnology, medical devices, and cutting-edge research facilities.

The role requires on-site presence in Limerick 2 days per week and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to drive cost efficiency and value engineering initiatives.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in cost engineering or project controls.
• Familiarity with lifecycle costing and cost management tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and manage project cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts.
• Track actual costs vs. budget and report variances.
• Update cost control systems with accurate data.
• Prepare cost reports, dashboards, and KPIs for stakeholders.
• Support change management and risk management activities.
