Job summary
ZenaTech Inc. seeks a LiDAR Data Processing Specialist to post-process airborne and terrestrial LiDAR data, create DTMs/DSMs and CAD/GIS deliverables.
The role requires strong 3D data processing skills and expertise in geospatial software, with knowledge of Irish coordinate systems for ITM/EPSG:2157 and related workflows. You will work with drone pilots, survey teams, and GIS/CAD drafters on capture planning, ground control, and client deliverables.
Qualifications
- 2+ years in LiDAR processing or related geospatial role
- Experience with Trimble Business Center and LiDAR workflows
- Ability to work with CAD/GIS formats and coordinate systems
- Understanding of Irish mapping requirements and ITM/EPSG:2157
Responsibilities
- Process, calibrate and classify LiDAR point cloud data (ground, vegetation, buildings)
- Generate DTMs/DSMs/contours and volumetric outputs
- Convert LiDAR data to CAD/GIS formats (DWG, DXF, LAS/LAZ, GeoTIFF)
- Georeference datasets to Irish and project coordinate systems
- QA/QC data products to meet specs and client standards
- Collaborate with drone pilots and GIS/CAD drafters on deliverables
- Manage large datasets with version-controlled workflows
- Produce technical reports and processing logs
- Help automate data processing pipelines
