Job summary

Tantek 4D in Sligo is seeking a full-time Land Surveyor to conduct field surveys, including topographic and building surveys, using GPS, total stations and 3D laser scanners to collect geospatial data.

You will set out and check site levels, record measurements, ensure data quality, process survey data into drawings and models, and collaborate with project managers, engineers and digital engineering teams while adhering to health and safety standards on-site.

Qualifications

• Strong land surveying background across construction and infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in topographic surveys, site measurements, level runs, and mapping existing conditions.
• Hands-on experience with Total Station, GPS and 3D laser scanning equipment and related survey instruments.
• Experience or familiarity with Building Surveying, including as-built surveys and dimensional checks.
• Relevant qualification in Geomatics, Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
• Ability to use survey and CAD/BIM software to process data and produce drawings and digital models.

Responsibilities

• Perform field surveys (topographic and building) using GPS, total stations and 3D laser scanners to collect geospatial data.
• Set out and check site levels, record measurements and ensure data quality and completeness.
• Process survey data and produce clear drawings, models and reports.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and digital engineering teams to support project delivery.
• Follow health and safety procedures, maintain equipment and contribute to continuous improvement of survey methods.
