MSL Engineering Ltd in Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork, is seeking a Lead Workshop Engineer to lead fabrication planning and QA across workshop activities.

You will coordinate between CED, Workshop, OSM, and Site teams, ensure NDT compliance, and manage isometrics revisions and load plans.

The role requires strong piping isometrics knowledge, excellent communication, and proficiency in EIDA, ISAMS and MS Office; a competitive salary is offered.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure Workshop Engineering Team adheres to all responsibilities outlined in the Workshop Process Flowchart.
• Resolve engineering queries arising from fabrication isometrics.
• Prioritise off-site pipe fabrication to align with the schedule.
• Liaise with Project Managers to monitor and maintain the fabrication schedule.
• Coordinate fabrication deliveries using load plans.
• Review project load plans and issue lookaheads to ensure timely delivery.
• Attend weekly production, scheduling, and QA meetings.

Overview of Duties:

The Lead Workshop Engineer will be involved in all key aspects of MSL’s Workshop Fabrication Process, including Planning, Safety, Construction, Quality, and Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the coordination lead for all fabrication activities between CED, Workshop, OSM, and Site teams.
• Ensure all projects meet NDT requirements as per project specifications. (Note: Workshop QA/QC Lead will organise execution of NDT.)
• Ensure QA/QC documentation (load plans, shipping lists, weld logs, NDT reports) is completed on time and to a high standard.
• Ensure the Workshop Engineering Team adheres to all responsibilities outlined in the Workshop Process Flowchart.
• Resolve engineering queries arising from fabrication isometrics.
• Prioritise off-site pipe fabrication to align with the agreed schedule.
• Liaise with MSL Project Managers to monitor and maintain the fabrication schedule.
• Coordinate fabrication deliveries using load plans requested by site teams.
• Review project load plans and issue lookaheads to the General Supervisor to ensure delivery to OSM/Site in a timely manner.
• Attend weekly production, scheduling, and QA meetings.
• Work with the MSL QA/QC Lead to ensure adherence to the full fabrication process.
• Ensure Tech Mods are completed correctly and promptly, with accurate red-line isometrics after fabrication.
• Manage revision control when notified of holds placed on isometrics by Site/Document Control.
