Job summary

Air Liquide Healthcare Ireland seeks an experienced Technician to lead start-up, maintenance, and support of high-purity gas and chemical delivery systems at client sites. The role includes installation, commissioning, operation, troubleshooting, safety compliance, and project leadership. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.

You will train junior technicians, supervise field teams, and ensure HS&E standards are met on all sites, driving quality and safety across operations.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent in a technical field is preferred.
• 5+ years semiconductor, chemical or specialty gas or equivalent experience.
• Excellent communication skills: ability to follow/give both written and verbal instructions.
• Evidence of previous work in a successful team environment, act as a mentor to junior technicians.
• Knowledge of reporting procedures per onsite operations policy (quality, inventory, safety).
• Demonstrate ability to coordinate and supervise a group of technicians on a project.
• Electro-mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to manage emergencies and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, commissioning, operation, and troubleshooting of high-purity gas/chemical delivery systems.
• Coordinate/start-up of delivery equipment and supervise project technician activities.
• Act as primary customer interface for projects and provide on-site leadership.
• Perform daily rounds, safety inspections, and system monitoring.
• Train TGCM Tech Level I–V staff and maintain site work instructions.
• Ensure HS&E standards (PPE, LOTO, Confined Space) are followed.
